As 2024 comes to a close and Airstream looks toward its ninety-fourth year of manufacturing the world’s most iconic RVs, we’re taking a moment to reflect on our favorite stories from last year.
From the launch of our newest, powerful off-grid-capable trailer and an exciting new limited edition touring coach, to the restoration of the very first riveted aluminum Airstream and collaborations with creative musicians, chefs, and more, 2024 was full of adventure, innovation, and creative expression.
It was also a year of helping Streamers discover new travel horizons and helping Dreamers discover which model and floor plan is right for their travel style. New models hit the scene with upgraded features, longtime favorites received design and decor refreshes, and our popular series of Comparison Guides provided new perspectives on what makes each model unique. And over at our official store, Airstream Supply Company, we’ve found even more ways to deliver custom products that enhance your Airstream experience and inspire new adventures over the next hill.
Trade Wind Lineup Expands with New 23FB Floor Plan
The most popular Airstream travel trailer floor plan in Model Year 2024 welcomed a new sibling to its model line: The Airstream Trade Wind 23FB Travel Trailer hit the scene in August 2024 with incredible off-grid capability inside a smaller, 23-foot floor plan. Like its larger sibling, the Trade Wind 23FB is equipped with three chassis-integrated 270Ah heated Lithium Battle Born batteries that form an 810Ah battery bank – more than four times the battery capacity of most other Airstream travel trailer models. It also has a 3,000W inverter that allows owners to run the microwave and air conditioner even when far from shore power.

Get “Lost” on New Television Show
Her new television show, “Getting Lost with Erin French” (Streaming on MAX) follows French and her husband, Michael Dutton, as they leave Maine on a culinary road trip with an Airstream in tow. It’s a full-circle moment for a chef who started her now-iconic restaurant in the humble kitchen of an Airstream trailer – and a love letter to heading out in search of inspiration to bring back home.
When you’re shopping for a new Airstream, deciding which model line, which length, and which floor plan is right for you can be one of the most challenging decisions. What sets Flying Cloud apart from International? How do the single-axle travel trailers or Interstate touring coaches compare? Which are Airstream’s most adventurous models?
With those kinds of questions in mind, we set out to develop a new library of Airstream Comparison Guides that focuses on the little things that help you make the big decisions. From single-line side-by-side examinations to multi-line comparisons, these downloadable guides dip into fine details that make every Airstream a travel dream come true.

Company History Comes to Life
What started with a collector getting word of a dilapidated Airstream trailer near Mexico City turned into an incredible restoration odyssey – and the discovery of what’s believed to be Wally Byam’s very first riveted aluminum Airstream trailer. Through generous support of The Gulley Collection, “Clipper #1” is now on display at the Airstream Heritage Center.
The Around the World Caravan was truly the adventure of a lifetime, with more than a hundred intrepid Airstreamers traveling more than 31,000 miles through more than 30 countries. They traveled through Southeast Asia into the Middle East and made their way through nearly the entirety of Europe. In 2024, Airstream celebrated the 60th anniversary of this incredible adventure alongside Airstream Club International’s Vintage Airstream Club, with a memorial Caravan through the Midwest with stops in towns and cities with worldly names like Versailles, Peru, and Lebanon before landing at Airstream Headquarters in Jackson Center, Ohio.
