Model Year 2027 sees the exciting addition of a new World Traveler 17RB floor plan, a décor refresh for Flying Cloud Travel Trailers, and new marker lighting in many models.

Airstream Travel Trailer Updates for Model Year 2027 

Introducing the World Traveler 17RB 

The all-new World Traveler 17RB floor plan expands versatility in a compact footprint, offering smart functionality and global-inspired design for those seeking lightweight capability without compromise. Just like World Traveler 22RB, this new floor plan is for the curious, spontaneous weekend or week-long traveler who wants to see it all and never stop discovering.  

World Traveler 17RB will be built for both U.S. and European markets, with EU production beginning in August 2026. It carries forward the signature World Traveler interior design from the World Traveler 22RB, including a bright white interior and two cushion kit décor options. Designed with efficiency and simplicity in mind, the 17RB features dual-pane acrylic windows, a below-bench heating and cooling system, two 20 lb. LP bottles, a lightweight Zip Dee awning, and a streamlined design without the panoramic or door windows. A rear-view camera and bedding kit come standard, while customers can further tailor their experience with optional upgrades including lithium and solar packages, and a standard microwave. 

Refreshed Décor Options 

Flying Cloud welcomes a refreshed interior décor with the introduction of two new décor packages: Willow Green and Canvas Cream.  

The new décor introduces an understated, calm, and curated aesthetic designed with modern, family-focused living in mind. Built around Natural Cypress wood-grain laminate and complemented by clean, solid-color locker fronts, the interior evokes a timeless midcentury modern feel that pairs seamlessly with the versatility of the trailer. The updated décor refreshes key elements including laminate, flooring, cushions, and soft goods, while allowing customers to personalize the look through two upholstery options: soft light green or warm, neutral cream.  

More Improvements for Airstream's Model Year 2027 

Across multiple product lines, enhancements continue to improve daily experience. Select models now feature convenient wireless charging in nightstands, while Flying Cloud and International gain recirculating water heaters for improved efficiency and comfort. In Basecamp models, the transition to heat pump air conditioning systems delivers more energy-efficient climate control, reinforcing their readiness for extended off-grid use. 

We’ve also made intentional updates to simplify and strengthen the lineup. The Basecamp 16 has been retired as of June 2026, to focus on our newest models and technology.  

In the interest of style and safety, we’re introducing new marker lights on all traditional riveted aluminum Airstream travel trailers (with the exception of World Traveler). These marker lights have the same classic shape and fit with a new, refined look.   

Some of our 2027 changes are small, and some more significant, but they all improve your travel experience, and ensure that you can enjoy the road for generations.
