Are You Ready
To Enjoy Your Touring Coach Outside

Wherever you’re headed – from national parks to concerts to the beach house – your Airstream Touring Coach puts the most beautiful places at your doorstep.

Keep your at-home routines going, just outside

If your kids love to read, create, and play games, there’s no reason those routines can’t continue while you’re out on the road. Our tip? Set up a special kids’ activity table outside under your awning and load it up with art supplies, toys, and reading materials. You might be surprised at how ready and willing they are to entertain themselves – and you’ll get a little break while they play.  Airstream Touring Coach awnings extend with the push of a button, and setup takes a split second and zero effort. Built into each awning are multiple stabilizer bars to help the awning stay straight and level, even in mild winds and mild weather. When high winds arrive, the awning will automatically retract to prevent damage. Another awning bonus? Airstream Touring Coach awnings are armless, meaning no poles will be in your way and you can set up your outdoor space even more freely.

So what kind of table should you bring along? We highly recommend these lightweight camping tables by KUMA Outdoor Gear. They’re stable, easy to set up, and super portable. Inside one compact bag are the table legs and the rolled-up tabletop.  Pair your table with a set of Cub Junior Children’s Chairs, or go for adult-size Airstream Backtrack Chairs. They’re clean and modern and fold up when you’re not using them. And if you need a new game to play, give the Kubb (pronounced “koob”) Lawn Game a try. It may fly under the radar compared to cornhole, but to those who’ve played, Kubb is the pinnacle of campsite fun. It’s basically a combination of bowling and horseshoes, and anyone, any age can play.

Have meals with a view

One of the best things about traveling in an Airstream Touring Coach is the galley kitchen you have onboard. Suddenly your picnics are elevated, with the ability to cook on the stove, use the microwave, and keep fresh produce refrigerated for your trip. Airstreamers also love the flexibility of touring coach kitchens. When you’re not using the stove, you can lower its tempered glass cover and use it as extra chop and prep space. Same goes for the sink. Above and below the counters, you’ll find plenty of cabinet and drawer storage for serve ware, utensils, and dry goods.  Before you head out on your next trip, upgrade your kitchen storage game with a Storage Bundle. Included are kitchen bins and organizers, a key rack, a dish drainer, and a towel bar you can stick to the wall. This is also the time to dust off your grilling skills. Airstream Touring Coaches come standard with an LP (propane) gas accessory hook-up, which makes it easy to connect your grill and get up to temperature fast. We can’t recommend the Airstream Weber® Q®1200 Gas Grill enough. It’s the official Airstream grill from Weber and engineered to be compact for storing. It comes with an LP hookup hose, ready to connect.

Shower off outside

Get ready, because this is a game-changer. Airstream Touring Coaches come equipped with an exterior shower and hot and cold controls. Depending on where you’re camping and who’s with you, it’s the perfect opportunity to experience an outdoor shower after a day in the sun. Or, you can use the shower to clean off your bikes, shoes, and gear before you bring it back inside your RV.

Make your outdoor space inviting

Your outdoor setup says a lot about you. And a little bit of a design eye goes a long way. Start with some outdoor bistro lights to give your touring coach a glow. These Luci Solar String Lights require no extra battery or electric power and will turn on when it gets dark, inviting you outside. Set up comfy chairs you can’t wait to settle into. How about a Yoho Bamboo Butterfly Chair for something a little cozier than the average camp chair? And of course, the centerpiece of any campsite is a campfire. We’ve found no better camp stove/fire pit combo than the Solo Stove, and this Bonfire Kit gets you set up and ready for easy and safe fires.

Bring the breeze in, keep the bugs out

When you’re ready to turn in for the night, you don’t have to shut out that perfect breeze. Airstream Touring Coaches have rear and side door screens that provide great airflow throughout the RV, especially when used together. You can also turn on your Fantastic Fan inside the coach to move the air a little more and keep the temperature cool and comfortable for bedtime. If it’s not quite cool enough, fire up your onboard generator and run your air conditioning for the night.      We’ve covered the basics and hopefully inspired you to start thinking about your outdoor setup. You can always browse Airstream Supply Company for more ideas, goods, and stories.
