Like-Minded Travelers

Chartered in 1955, the Wally Byam Caravan Club International was born out of Airstream founder Wally Byam’s dream of inspiring fellowship and community while traveling around the globe. Today, the club operates as the Airstream Club International, with over 18,000 members who Live Riveted® and share a passion for exploration, friendship, and making travel dreams come true.

Big Red Numbers?

Airstream Club Members are assigned a Big Red Number – or "BRN" as Club members refer to them – to help Club members identify each other out on the road and at Rallies across the country. A tradition started by Wally Byam on his famous International Caravans, today the Club's BRN registry is up to five-digit numbers.

When Airstream Founder Wally Byam committed his personal philosophy to paper sometime in the 1950s, an Airstream enthusiast club was a key part of his vision. His "Creed" has become the guiding light for Airstream as a company, and the Airstream Club International as well.

Intra-Clubs and Regional Clubs

ACI offers a variety of Intra-Clubs focusing on specific interests, from fly fishing and vintage enthusiasts to solo female Airstreaming, beer and wine, and more. And at the local level, ACI's Regional Clubs bring together Airstreamers in the vicinity for Rallies and Caravans.

While the Airstream Club International has always operated as an independent organization, the club and company share common roots and goals. Through a historic agreement signed in 2023, Airstream is excited to offer one year of the Explorer Membership with the purchase of every new Airstream travel trailer and touring coach.

How to Activate

Any new Airstream travel trailer or touring coach purchased on or after 7/1/2023 is eligible for a complimentary, 1-year Explorer Club Membership. Owners have six months to register after purchase. New owners can sign up via AirstreamClub.org/join and enter the last six digits of their VIN in the “Promo Code” field.
