Travel Freedom in an Electric-First Basecamp
Basecamp Xe takes one of Airstream’s most popular floor plans and maximizes travel freedom with an electric-first, supremely off-grid-capable design. The 3000W inverter delivers power to all the outlets, while 600W of rooftop-mounted solar panels harvest the power of the sun. The 10.3kWh lithium Battle Born® battery bank powers off-grid air conditioning and microwave use, and a Truma Combi eco plus system combines the water heater and furnace functions, and can operate on multiple fuel settings, including all-electric, all propane, or a mix of both. A small hitch-mounted propane tank enables outdoor grilling while serving as backup fuel for the furnace and hot water heater.

From Benches to Bed to Workspace
Two benches plus one that spans the inside of the rear door make seating for up to five people to lounge, eat, and hang out – perfect for camping or tailgating with friends. Or set up a remote workstation and take advantage of the ethernet Smart Plug port on the exterior that allows for easy connection to a variety of satellite internet providers. The versatile benches quickly convert into a bed for two that covers the whole back of the trailer or can be set up with one smaller bed and a bench that allows for more room to move.
Convertible Front U-Shaped Dinette
The Basecamp 20Xe’s U-shaped front dinette allows for comfortable lounging for up to 4 adults with room to spare. The tabletop is designed to swivel completely around without thumping into anybody sitting around the dinette. This feature also allows for quick entry and departure from the seating area from either side without having to have the whole gang stand up each time somebody needs to access the fridge or sink.

We’ve kept things lean and smart in the Basecamp galley. A single burner 1500W induction cooktop is portable and can be removed and used outdoors. The sink features a cutting board cover that expands prep space, an optional microwave, and a 12V fridge with freezer. Plus, there’s plenty of storage for kitchen gadgets, pantry items, and more so you can recharge and refuel for tomorrow’s adventures.
