Nothing builds an appetite quite like outdoor adventure. After a full day of hiking, biking, skiing, or kayaking, dinner is a well-earned reward. And when it’s time to eat, you want to eat well. That’s why a rugged, reliable, get-it-done camp stove is the perfect companion when you want to cook outside.
This could be the mission statement for Camp Chef, makers of high-performance camp stoves and outdoor cooking gear.
As with many great ideas, Camp Chef was born out of frustration. Twenty-five years ago, company founder Ty Measom found himself trying to feed an entire Boy Scout troop off of a flimsy, underpowered camp stove. Measom, an avid outdoorsman, decided then and there to find a better way to cook outside. He went on to create what would become Camp Chef’s first signature product: the Pro 60 stove.
These days, whether you’re firing up for mealtime on your back patio or deep in the backcountry with your Airstream, Camp Chef has you covered. Thanks to a product line that ranges from cast iron cookery to camp stoves and ovens, you can easily prepare a simple meal for two—or an elevated spread for a group of fellow adventurers.
Despite their foray into all methods of food preparation, Camp Chef’s signature products remain their camp stoves and camp grills. Stoves range from a simple butane-heated single-burner design to the lightweight and durable aluminum-bodied two-burner portable stove.
And when it’s grill time, Camp Chef’s grills are powered by either propane or wood pellets. Smaller models are designed for portability and ease of use, while the workhorse varieties let you sear, grill, smoke, bake, roast, braise, and barbecue to your heart’s delight.
Located in the heart of Cache Valley, Utah, the Camp Chef headquarters is surrounded by the Bear River Mountain Range. Camp Chef promises to design products that deliver for outdoor cooks, and they’ve pledged to consistently focus on improvements and innovation.
