Airstream’s Leave it Beautiful Initiative was created and designed for the Airstream community. It’s inspired by the legacy of Airstream’s founder, Wally Byam, and has stirred passion projects which many Airstreamers participate in today.
Leave it Beautiful is a hub where the Airstream community can gather to create and share any projects or ideas they are working on to leave the world a more beautiful place to live, love and travel. From park clean ups to serving food and fundraising to build homes, Airstreamers have a long history of helping others, both on the road and in their local communities.
This year, Airstream challenged 9,000 designers to create a wrap to cover the Airstream Basecamp as part of the Leave it Beautiful Initiative. The artist with the winning design would have a chance to travel in the Basecamp sharing the message of Airstream’s Leave it Beautiful Initiative with people throughout the country.
Thousands of designers wandered through the Airstream trailers gaining perspective, ideas and inspiration. Hundreds of designs were submitted via social media featuring artwork and various designs covering the Airstream Basecamp.
Finally, one winner was chosen to feature their artwork on the outside of the Airstream Basecamp and travel the country sharing the Leave it Beautiful message. Congratulations to our winners, Briana and Jason of We Are Brainstorm!
