A Focus on Creativity with No Distractions
For the creative process to really flourish, artists need to get away from the distractions of modern life. That was the premise behind the inaugural Airstream X SPIN Creative Camp in Nashville. Four up-and-coming musicians with diverse genres and styles came together in the shadow of Music City for a weekend of collaboration. For Evan Honer, Bones Owen, Sierra Carson, and Crystal Rose, it was an opportunity to escape the busy routines of daily life and concentrate on the creative process without an agenda. Surrounded by nature and designed to be intimate and music-focused, the Airstream X SPIN Creative Camp encouraged the four musicians to collaborate, write, explore creative ideas, and experiment with what they created together.
The on-site Airstreams served as the hub for this creative endeavor, giving the artists privacy to explore their ideas along with a communal area to work together. With room to think, explore, and build their ideas together, the resulting music flowed naturally. Scaled back from their expectations and individual styles, the group gelled into a cohesive unit with melodies and musical ideas firmly at the center.
